Livelihood Improvement for Everyone (LIFE)
The project focused on strengthening the economic resilience of vulnerable households from both Rohingya and host communities by promoting skill enhancement, entrepreneurship, and market access. Beneficiaries were identified through a structured household assessment process. To support training and production, a dedicated center was established in Hnila, where participants received hands-on instruction in various trades including organic agriculture, medicinal plant cultivation, handicrafts, kuchia farming, and livestock management.
In addition to technical skills, beneficiaries were equipped with knowledge in business development and financial management to foster sustainable enterprise practices. Financial support in the form of cash incentives was provided to help them initiate or expand their income-generating activities. To ensure long-term impact, the project facilitated the creation of community-based cooperatives and strengthened market connections through both local engagement and the Grassroots Cox’s Bazar digital platform, promoting economic inclusion and sustainability.
