A debate competition was held on 25 September 2025 at Tahera Begum Girls High School, Mojapur, Ward-01, Nababpur Union, Sonagazi Upazila, Feni, with the enthusiastic participation of students from various classes. The topic of the debate was both timely and thought-provoking, which inspired the participants to present their logical arguments with confidence. Two groups contested against each other, demonstrating strong reasoning, effective rebuttal skills, and excellent teamwork. The audience greatly enjoyed the lively exchange of ideas, while the judges evaluated the teams based on content, presentation, and overall performance.
At the end of the competition, the winning team was announced and awarded. The event not only created an engaging atmosphere but also successfully enhanced the students’ critical thinking, communication skills, and self-confidence. Along with the debate, a short discussion on Digital Financial Literacy (DFL) was also held. Speakers highlighted the importance of DFL in today’s world, emphasizing how knowledge of mobile banking, digital payments, online safety, and responsible financial behavior can empower students and their families. The discussion encouraged the students to practice digital finance responsibly and to share the learning with their communities. During the session, it was also emphasized that “Saving before spending is the wisest use of remittances.” This important message encouraged participants to prioritize savings as a way to build financial security and long-term stability for their families.
The program was graced by the presence of the Representative of UNCDF, PROTTYASHI, Head Teacher, respected judges, teachers, Left Behind Family members, Civil Society representatives, and a large number of students.
