Capacity Strengthening And Building The Resilience Of The Local Community

The project focused on enhancing the resilience and livelihoods of the local community through skills development, climate-adaptive agriculture, and inclusive capacity building. Community members were trained in sustainable farming, alternative income-generating activities, and vocational skills. Self-help group leaders received training on financial management and group mobilization, while all participants engaged in awareness sessions on disaster preparedness, health, hygiene, gender, and inclusion.

Agricultural inputs and model fruit gardens were provided to support productivity, and lead farmers were developed to sustain local knowledge. Market linkages were strengthened to help beneficiaries sell their products. Despite challenges like early grant distribution and delayed payments, these were mitigated through follow-up support and coordination. The project successfully mobilized community structures and built a foundation for long-term resilience and economic empowerment.
